Kept busy with doing nothing these days and have not been updating with new finds. Miraculously, I had that strong motivation to get out of the house and walk under a cold but sunny winter afternoon after it has rained a bit. Found my self wandering in Daiso looking for the materials I needed for an upcoming project. Also, found my self looking for masking tape stickers after I enjoyed using the bear stickers for my planner, the ones I mentioned in the previous post. And then, I found these~
They call them flake stickers because they’re cut into individual shapes according the to design of the sticker. Unlike the normal sticker set you get where you peel one from the entire transparent sheet, this one you peel off the transparent back from sticker. The designs on this set somehow reflect my interests so I didn’t hesitate to get them.
How adorable is this cat who loves Japanese snacks and sweets? That plump cheeks and lazy illustration of the character smiling to whatever it is holding was very much heartwarming. Reminds me of this one person who loves his sweets very much and enacting the same lazy poses as this cat. This set wasn’t the flake sticker type and it came with other characters, i.e., bunny and dog which I recommend to check out if you’re interested in them.
Lastly, this masking sticker with different ribbon designs were one of the set that was Japanese made exclusively for Daiso. I haven’t seen this line before but turns out they were of good quality and are useful for journals or planners for that playful design especially for those who couldn’t really draw designs like me. Other designs include stars and moon and also come in glitters but not necessarily masking tape type.
Without realizing it, I’ve spent an hour going back and forth the sticker section deciding which ones to buy because they all look so tempting. If you’re fond of perking up your journals or planners, these stickers are the best way to go. Japanese brands that usually offer stickers for planners, i.e., Midori, are quite pricey so the dollar store is a cost effective alternative to stationery bling blings.
