Traveler’s Factory Airport

On our recent trip by plane, I firmly decided not to miss visiting the Traveler’s Factory pop up store in Narita Terminal 1. Make no mistake, there are three airport terminals in Narita and the store could only be found in Terminal 1. As with the Tokyo Station limited edition goods, I wasn’t convinced enough to get their limited edition leather covers in the airport as well 😉 But of course, I just can’t leave empty-handed so I got the passport size airport limited edition refill instead! They also had a stamp station where, unlike the pop up store in Tokyo station, they had the names of different countries instead of different Japanese prefectures. Then of course, stamping these were not something to miss! There were other stamp designs but some were similar to the ones in the Tokyo station store. And I was in a hurry so I wasn’t able to stamp them all ones that I don’t have yet. They were also selling limited edition baggage stickers and I decided to get one of their designs. Hello NRT! If you’re traveling to Japan, check out the store in Narita Terminal 1. It’s quite fun to collect the stamps, for me at least. I’ve decided to use the blank refill for my global stamping project. Meanwhile, the one I got from Tokyo station will be used for local travels. Grab one now~!

Marusei masking tape <3

If you’ve ever been to Hokkaido, you wouldn’t miss the popular sweets manufacturer named Rokkatei, aside from Royce’ or Ishiya (Shiroi Koibito). Rokkatei is famous for their Marusei butter raisin sandwich which I so love that I’d never miss to buy whenever we go visit. They have other sweets in the Marusei series but the one and only that’s special to me is the raisin butter sandwich! So much love that I even got their Marusei masking tape!!! See that lovely rouge color? Yasss~! That’s the Marusei color ❤ ❤ ❤ Check out their packaging!!! A very lovely sketch of colorful flowers, how cool is that? That’s the Rokkatei signature 😉 I would highly recommend grabbing some butter raisin sandwich for your “omiyage” or souvenir in Japanese. Also, you could try their crunchy and not too sweet caramel candy in the Marusei series, yummy!

Midori 2020 diary + extra

Too early to say hello to 2020 but the Midori paper company released their 2020 planners early August this year! Welcome the MD notebook diary~ If you order through their online store, you’ll get a free stick on insert flap and shipping also becomes free~!!! As with all MD notebooks, a sticker label is provided for your labeling or categorizing needs if you typically use several of their products in this series. As you open to the first page, you’ll find a lovely “Story of 2020” written on it.On to the next page, you’ll find a full spread of the 2020 and 2021 calendar on both pages. This is helpful for when you want a yearly outlook of the schedule or events. The planner or diary as MD calls it, starts on the month of December this year. You’ll find the monthly calendar followed by blank pages corresponding for each day that you write an entry, with space much like in their hardbound diaries. The notebook comes with an orange book marker for self reference since the blank pages are not labeled with dates in particular.Since I got the shipping free, I decided to get an online store exclusive MD memo pad!!! The size is half of the A5 square memo pad which is also sold in the online store only. You’ll see the embossed MD paper logo on the cover like with all other MD notebooks. I really much appreciate how they bind their notebooks, its just so pretty to look at.And the other thing I like most about their notebooks is that you could lay it flat to any page when writing. This is very much helpful for left handers like me. I never liked spring bound notebooks, never. I’m not yet sure how to use the planner/diary but I’m saving it for something family-related planning or journaling. As for the memo pad, could be used to write secret messages I’d probably keep in the bento bag when I prepare them, teehee~
